Chandrababu is always a Hot Cake for National Political Parties. Given his vast experience and expertise and political acumen, national political parties who rely on coalition politics want Naidu to lead and lend hand to them. Ever since Naidu has quit NDA and revolted against BJP by moving No-Confidence Motion, he has given a great boost to Opposition parties across India. In fact, Naidu was a hope and one of the main reasons for the unity of all the Opposition parties together.
The growing friendship between YCP, BJP and Janasena is another reason for Congress to strongly look for a regional ally. Whilst Naidu is in no mood to join with Congress, he is maintaining strategic distance with the grand-old party. This is raising tension in Rahul & Co.
The move to rope in Kiran Kumar Reddy into Congress whilst Kiran's own brother is in TDP is a strategic move by the Congress to get closer to TDP and gain strength in the AP where it was routed and lost its ground completely. In fact, this is the main reason why Congress in AP has been targeting Jagan Reddy to impress Naidu. The plan of Congress is to strike a deal with Naidu in Telangana at least if not in AP.
The meeting of Undavalli Arun Kumar with Chandrababu Naidu is a significant development in AP politics. It is reliably learnt that Undavalli has met Naidu upon request from Rahul Gandhi. Soon after Undavalli's meet with Naidu, the meeting of former minister Sailajanath, who is close to Kiran, with Chandrababu is adding fuel to the ongoing speculations.
Rahul & Congress team seriously want Chandrababu to play larger role in the national politics. This is why Congress also indirectly backing TDP's No-Confidence Motion moved in the Lok Sabha for the second-time. Although Naidu is not interested to hob-nob with Congress, he is very much aware that without a strong national political party at the Centre, the justice cannot be served to AP. And for that, Naidu has to go along with allies and Congress. But Naidu is playing smart game and playing it very safe. Let's wait and see, how Naidu will make his moves nationally.
And one thing is very clear. Naidu is always a hot cake for national political parties.
